 When she was a child, Dixie Crane used to spend time with her grandparents during the summer.  Her grandma was a serious and quiet woman who spent hours creating beautiful crocheted masterpieces, such as household decorator items, and clothing.  Dixie was intrigued by her grandmother’s “flying fingers” as balls of thread were somehow transformed into beautiful doilies, table cloths and even Easter dresses.  One day she asked her grandmother to teach her to crochet.  She thought this might be something she’d like to do--but more than that, felt it might be a way to have a special connection with her Grandma.  Dixie had no idea at that time that crocheting would become a very pleasurable and therapeutic part of her own life. 

Dixie prefers to use interesting and high-end yarns and threads in order to create modern, unique clothing items.  In addition to making elegant bridal shrugs, jackets, and wraps, she designs one-of-a kind jewelry and bridal hair accessories.  Her products are sold exclusively at Provence Bride in Carlsbad, CA

New York is in the past.....

We said Good-bye to New York yesterday and are back in Cali to finish up the last minute touches of Provence BRIDE ! The Wedding Channel Couture Show was a huge success this year. It was held at,  Intercontinental The Barclay New York and was filled with hundreds of amazing dress & accessory designers and top wedding professionals. We had the pleasure to meeting with some of the top wedding publications and are looking forward to our features with The Knot & Martha Stewart Weddings next year!  Thank You everyone who made it out to see us this year and we look forward to the reveal of our next collection and the show next year!  xoxo Allyson & Sara
